What you Attract and How you Look! connected?.. Now I think so!

Not long ago I was watching "youtube" videos on learning to "shape your eyebrows". Since my last experience with having a "professional" eyebrow wax, I decided that I would learn how to do my own! I came across a paticular video that had some good points; not just about tweezing, but about life. She made the comment that when you take the time to make yourself beautiful, you are saying to the outside world what you are worth. Not just by how much you actually spend moneywise on yourself, but more importantly the time that you spend on yourself. You earn a kind of respect from people, because you respect yourself enough to take that time for yourself.

Interesting, I thought.

To me this means that I don't have to be obsessed by the way that I look. But just to be aware of the message I send to people around me... What is my appearance saying about how I view myself? (a year ago my hairstylist brother was trying to tell me this exact thing, but here is where I didn't get what he was saying.) I don't stress too much when it come to what other people think of me. But this is the part that I didn't understand. It has nothing to do with what other people think! BUT it has everything to do with what you attract into your life, usually brought about by other people. For instance if I am looking for more clients, and I go everywhere in my torn sweats I am not "showing up" to recieve those clients. Most contacts like that are made off of spontanious events and situations. I'm not saying it can't happen, but you really aren't making the best effort if your not presentable in the way you want to show up for others... in this case as their Life Coach/healing faciltator.

Comment! I want to know what you all think about this!

Our Weekend

Last weekend Chad and I ran the booth for the Institute of Healing Arts at the Women's Expo. It was a really good experience! We were giving free 'stress tests' . We had them read a list of 10 questions and depending on how many were YES determined how stressed they were. So most people there were 6-10 which is very stressed. So we had them color out their stress on a paper heart. Most women got really into their drawings. After they were finished we told them about their stress and what the different colors and shapes meant about their emotions. It was very interesting! We had a couple women break out into tears and pour out their hearts to us. It was very interesting and I hope that more people will become involoved with the school because of what they experienced there.
On Thursdays we will be processing and coaching the new class that is starting at the Institute of Healing Arts. I'm not sure who is in that class but it should be a good experience to get to know them all.
Love to you all.

Overall... good!

Fall is in the air! We have had such a great summer. Chad just started his new job at the junior high school. He is an aid for the special needs kids there. He is good at his job and is liking it oaky. Chad is graduating the Institute of Healing Arts in December.
I am still a nanny, and I still love it. Although the kids are in school now, so I've had less hours working there... at least until January when they will have a new baby boy.
This time next year we are planning to move to Oregon! We feel it will be a good place to live for a while, and more new age people there. We hope that our business will grow nicely there.
