Giving UP 'Wendy's'

For the first year of our marriage Chad and I have eaten out almost everyday. Chad's favorite place for burgers is WENDY'S. The local wendy's here in Heber began becomming familiar with Chad and his usual order of a #2 Large Combo with a Diet Coke. Once I saw this happening and realized the downward spiral we were in... I took action!! I have planned meals ahead of time, and bought a good variety of groceries so snack attacks didn't resort to WENDY'S.
Some days Chad begs me to go to wendy's for lunch or dinner.. but after he has eaten a delisious home-cooked meal, he always thanks me for it!! :) Together we are living happier and healthier! Hurray for home-cooked meals.

Now.. if only we can get him off of soda!! xoxo

connecting the dots

There are some changes happening for us right now. I have been put on part time hours starting monday. This will give me an opportunity to have more time for myself and with clients doing Processing. (Which is going well for me right now.)
Chad is hoping that he gets a job offer at Apple a Day. I hope that by him working there he can promote his business more too.
other news,
Chad and I are taking a Feng Shui class together. It has been really interesting and fun to do. I give suggestions to others on their feng shui, but I don't think anyone cares.... but I am glad that we are learning this before we build our first home! We will have an awesome home with really good energy! :) I've decided that I really like pastel colors.
Funny as it sounds I was in a restroom this week and it just felt so calming and rejuvinating to be in there. There was a cute quote on one wall and there was soft lighting, it had nice scented oil, I just felt really comfortable. Usually I feel like "get me outta hear before the germs, and whatever else is crawling around, get me!!" Anyways... it was really nice. Has anyone else ever had a nice bathroom experience? (I read steve's bathroom experience... that was funny.. and not soo nice.)

a couple of cousins and I have rejoined thanks to the world-wide-web. I'm pretty excited about that!

out!
ps. I hope David Archuleta wins American Idol. He's good!.. so is David Castro... and Brooke White, I like her, but I don't think she'll win. xoxo! later!

Chocolate!?

Chad loves brownies! He especially loves to lick the remains out of the bowl!

I couldn't help but take pictures of him... it was like watching a four-year old enjoy the sweetness of brownie batter.

vacation

Chad and I have spent the week in Arizona visiting family. It has been a great vacation and I am almost ready to be going home. It's amazing... I've been craving to clean my own house! I guess that's what I'll be doing my first day home. I have also been brainstorming what I want to different in my life; as simple as it seems to all you 'pro-wives' out there, my goal is to cook our own meals (instead of going to wendy's) and to cook healthy!! I LOVE going to people's houses that always have fresh fruits and vegtables instock. My mom was always like that...
Another goal is to get together with some girl friends, go shopping, and hopfully stay closer to them than I have in the past. I'm very excited about getting together with some long-lost cousins!
Okay.. well i'll be posting some pictures of our vacation when I get home. oxox

Mount Carmel Junction

Next week Chad and I are going on a nice long roadtrip to Arizona! Everyday for the past 2 months I have talked about how excited I am to finally be going on a vacation! Roadtrips are my favorite. I really like the quality time spent together when all you have to do is talk... i like to talk. Last year when we took our trip there, we had a whole lot of trouble on the way. The radiator in my car basically exploded! We had just past a little town called Mount Carmel Junction - about 5 hours from Salt Lake City! We turned around and drove to a gas station/ car repair shop in that small Junction town. (I had prayed before going on this roadtrip and it would bring Chad and I closer together... LOL.. I'll never do that again!) We told the guy there of our situation; he called around for a new radiator and was told that the closest one that would fit my car was in Salt Lake City. "HUM, not good news!" I was praying and praying... and I was just hoping that someone was going to call back saying they had found one, and it happened! Just 25 minutes away there was another small town and they had found one stashed away in their storage. I WAS SO EXCITED! in about 60 minutes it showed up on the back of a 4-wheeler! Meanwhile the wife of the guy that was fixing our car brought us HUGE turkey sandwiches! In about three hours we were back on the road! The guy only charged us for the part and around $40 for two hours worth of labor! Being a total of $240 I was so thankful and happy that his man was so gracious to us. I am also thankful the God answered my prayers.
Anyways. I hope to stop in that town on the way to Arizona this year and pay our good friend a visit. He saved us from a lot of trouble that day!
:)
