The first principle to Feng Shui is Safty and Comfort... (keep that in mind)
But today I want to talk about the importance of creating a space for yourself. Most of the rooms in any house are open to anyone who lives there... the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms, ect. And then there are rooms that you my share with others like a bedroom and or bathroom. (we'll talk about those rooms later)
Out of all the rooms in your house, you need to claim a space that is specifically yours! A place where you can place your favorite things, where you feel comfortable and a place where you can relax. This place needs to reflect who you are. Only place things, books, pictures, colors that YOU love. Be creative with this space, have fun with it! For me, I chose a room in my home that was already painted green (that is my favorite color) and I gutted out all the furniture and started placing "me" on the walls, on the shelves, and themed it the 'art' room. Now you don't have to theme your room, that part isn't important... what is, is that you have a place for you.
There are some rules to this, it can not be your bedroom where you share the space with your husband/wife. By doing that you are taking away the needed space that they also need. Which brings me to my next point. Everything in your shared bedroom needs to be loved by both of you. Meaning guys, don't hang your baseball caps along the whole one wall of your bedroom if your wife doesn't adore those hats also. (those hats would go in your space) And Ladies, don't put your doll collection in your bedroom either, unless your husband likes them too. I think I am making this pretty clear... hope you all got it. This also goes for the bathroom that you may share. Ladies, be aware that clearing your beauty supplies off the counter top after use, is part of keeping a place for your man. Don't run him out of your house. Let him have his space too!
.. his space needs to be a place where he can put up his glass bottle collection and a place that he can display what is important for him! (Even if you don't like it... it IS his space.) It is important for everyone to have their own getta-way within the home, otherwise they are off to the bar and off to a to a place where they can relax and let go.
Same goes for children. They too need a place where they can play with toys, build projects, and have time to themselves. It really is healthy!
So do it for yourself, and invite others to do it also. Love and Light!

Thinking Out Loud... & Reiki.
SO even though I have all these good things in my life, I still want to grow and develop. I really am looking forward to taking a Reiki class, and again having more ways of serving people emotionally and physically.
I also would like to take the time to do some meditation. I do have the time.. I just need to do it, now. I really have been so blessed. It's so great! I am constantly looking for balance and wellness.
Speaking of wellness, chad and I have been doing great at cooking our own meals. They aren't always the healthiest... (sometimes it's mac and cheese or Roman Noodles) But we have been slimming down a couple of pounds. :) I like that!
Nameste! xoxo

thoughts, feelings, and a new job!!
Well, my days at Wasatch Window and Door will soon be over! I've been here for almost two years. It has been a blessing to learn how a business is run. And I'm sure all the knowledge will come in handy when Chad and I have our own business.
My new job will be as a Nanny for two boys! Van Joseph (VJ)-7 and Zack-5 I'm very excited about this transition. It will be a change of pace and atmosphere. I feel like I have a lot to contribute to this family. And I'm sure I'll learn a lot too! I feel so blessed to have this opportunity; both finacially and emotionally better for me!
"my missionary" that I had, before meeting Chad, is coming home this month. Chad and I have grown very close to his parents. They coached us in school, taught our feng shui class, and in general have been our closest 'couple friends'. They claim us as their own children (which I think is so very awesome). I'm not sure how things will go when he comes home. But I think it would be great for them to have a 'guys day'. I know that they will get along really well. Indigo's do.
xoxo just love!
OH.. David Archuleta is coming to Murray High School to sing and also the Jazz game tomorrow! I wonder if there is any chance of us being able to get into one or the other!.. or both! The hard part is getting Chad to come too! :) he knows I have a little crush on Archie! lol...
