So this blog post is about my thoughts of many different products! Please comment and let me know your favorite products too!
My absolute favorite product to use on my face is ST. IVES Apricot Srub! This always leaves my skin super soft and nicely exfoliated. Often I have dry skin that is peeling on the sides of my nose and my forehead-- this is the only product that I have found to smooth out my skin and leaving it glowing with healthy radiance! It is my daily microdermabrasion.
After that, I apply CO Bigelow Facial Moisturizer. I have two, one is extra-light and the other is for 'most skin types'. I use them both pretty equally. Pretty much everything that this brand produces is amazing! You can find this at Bath and Body Works.
Not too much to say about this one, except that it really goes on smoothly and looks natural! love it!
I just discovered this product. It is cheap and it still works well. As long as I use it lightly on my face it looks great. Too much and it makes your face look grainy (is that a word?)
Loreal has this eye shadow that is made for specific eye colors! It really makes your eyes POP and looks great everytime. On the back it has a 1-2-3-4 step process for where to apply each color on the lid. I like it.
Loreal Paris has this amazing mascara! I don't have long lashes naturally, so this really makes me happy! I can apply more to have my lashes look really long, or just a little to keep it modest. The best thing is that taking it off is so easy too. It doesn't smear, it comes off with water in just little strands of black. love this product.
One more CO Bigelow product. spearmint lip gloss. It goes on thick (which I like, and smells/tastes great) I think it is around $6 at Bath and Body Works.
For my hair, this is my favorite conditioner. Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda. Of course if you want to try this there is product for reds and blondes too. I love it because it smells nice, and it leaves my hair with lots of dimension and glow.
This hair serum is the best! (Schwarzkopf Zero Frizz) Well, not the best, but for the price it has great quality! I apply this when my hair is wet or dry. Ideally wet is best. I love it because it makes my hair thicker looking and it is much easier to mould into a hair style that I want. One thing that I sometimes notice is that some of my hair's shine isn't as good when I use this; but that is better than the alternative.... crazy thin static hair.
Sometimes, I like having my hair big and curly! For that I use John Frieda Frizz-Ease line of Dream Curls. What I do is, take my hair one layer at a time (starting with the under-layers) spray this lightly over the section, and then curl it with an iron. This stuff always does the trick. The bottle says to apply to wet hair... but I never get the good results that I do when I apply to dry hair.
Finally the hair spray! TRESemme has great hair spray. Not really a fan of their shampoo and conditioner though. The hair spray is really dry, so it is great to hold those curls lightly in place.

Hi Lesa - it's nice to know about things that have someone else's real life stamp of approval. My sister Heather recently converted me to MAC makeup. I know it is really expensive, but it lasts and lasts and lasts and the selection is incredible. If you want to splurge, that's a great place to do it. I use the eyeshadow and mascara. Heather says they have an amazing brush cleaner, too. I am a fan of lots of the Mary Kay facial products (yes, also a bit pricey) Their Timewise set is great because it has the cleanser, toner, and exfoliater in one bottle, and adapted for different skin types. When we first got married I couldn't afford it, but during my crazy pregnancy/postpardum breakouts it was a lifesaver! Anyway - there's a few things I really like if you ever get a chance to try them!
