Perception: Men Vs Women

If you don't know by now Chad and I are big movie people. Actually Chad is more than I, but I always get invited along to watch movies. :) So, if you saw that movie "HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU" at the end of the movie Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck are hooking back up after their break up over the fact that Ben's character didn't want to get married and Jennifer's character does... So at the end of the movie Jennifer goes to Ben's boat that he is staying on and says she doesn't care if they get married, that she loves him, and that she wants him to move back into their house. -under one condition- that Ben has to throw out these worn-out pair of cargo pants! Ben agrees and all is good.
The next scene is where they are moving his stuff back into the house and Jennifer sees the pants... not in the trash! so she goes to throw them out and Ben says "at least check the pockets..." Inside one of the pockets there is a box and inside an engagement ring! Jen turns around and Ben is on his knee proposing!
Now for every girl I know this is such a cute part of the movie! "OH... look he is so clever and he really does love her and he will marry her because he knows that is what she really wants!! oh... so sweet!"
But all Chad had to say was "He must really like those pants!"
I had to laugh.

school, dreams, yoga and that phone call.

School is starting again. Tomorrow actually. I succeeded in my goal to get an A in my one and only class last semester. Now though, I am taking five classes and two part time jobs. hum... sounds like alot, but I think it'll be okay. (crossing fingers).

I am really excited to be taking YOGA! first of all, it will force me to do yoga regularly and second I will get credit for it. *double bonus.

OH btw. if any of you are looking for really great yoga workouts online. go to www.yogayak.com
It's challenging, but not like head balances or anything like that. I really love it. and love that I can do it in my pjs before breakfast. (LOVE not having to go to the gym to get the great yoga class.)

Chad is taking 17 credit hours this semester, doing RESPITE care and mentoring with me for the county, and hopefully getting closer to a degree!

SAd to say, but I'm glad the holidays are over. I sound like a scrooge but they are really stressful for so many people. I think I pick-up on all the tension... I don't like it.

We are still in Heber for now... I still dream though, that we will move to Oregon and be where it is green! I have cabin fever living here in Utah. Please get me out. I want to walk down a street that I haven't seen before. I want to meet new people and start my life new. really new. Where no one knows me as "heather's daughter" and where I can be whatever I want and no one else will know the difference.
:)
Is that silly?

Besides all of that, I need to return a phone call... I've been putting it off. augh.....

ta-ta!

Julie's Bruschetta Recipe

There is a scene in the movie Julie and Julia were Julie Powell and her husband are sitting down to dinner discussing what she should make a blog about. My mouth waters everytime I think of them eating in this scene. wierd huh? well, you'll have to watch it.
This is the recipe. simple. yummy. and messy.

slice cherry tomatoes in half. place in a bowl. Salt and pepper and drizzle with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) mix together with a spoon.
Get some rustic bread, focaccia is my favorite. heat some evoo in a skillet and toast/fry the bread to your liking.
After bread is toasted, rub one side with garlic clove.
spoon tomatoes onto bread, sprinkle with chopped fresh basil. and ENJOY!
(remember the napkins)

I made this today for lunch... Chad liked it a lot!
